Tifgrand Bermuda

If you’re looking for a turfgrass that can withstand high traffic and doesn’t require a high level of maintenance, don’t look beyond Tifgrand Bermuda. Regarded as an enhanced hybrid Bermuda variety, this turfgrass can survive on just about 50% sunlight. This makes it perfect for residential and commercial properties with shades. It bears certain similarities to Tifway, although trained eyes can easily differentiate between them. 

Tifgrand Bermuda can cope with intense traffic, and it is resilient enough to recover from damage with regular maintenance. Further, Tifgrand Bermuda can also be installed as a dormant sod. 

This turfgrass requires only four hours of sunlight daily, which makes it perfect for properties that do not have access to sunlight. It can also survive with limited water supply but ensure that you give it about 1 ¼ inch of water every week during the summer season. Of course, if your soil is sandy, you will have to increase the amount of water.
